How We Started

The Outlanders were founded in April of 1997.  The idea came about
because five brothers and sisters were killed in motorcycle related
accidents that summer that involved drugs or alcohol.  We wanted to be
able to ride together safely without the risk of someone using drugs,
alcohol or any unsafe conduct that could risk our lives and that of our
family and friends.

The name Outlanders comes from old-world Scotland.  There was a
group of people who didn't agree about the terrible things the
authorities were doing at the time and voiced their opinions.  When
they spoke out they were banned from certain towns and villages and
were forced to live in what was called the "outlands."  Hence, the name
Outlanders.
Our Insignia

Banded together is simple.  We come together as a group and are
bonded by the same ideals of helping each other have fun safely without
disrespecting others.  The DRAGON is a symbol of mystical power and
wisdom and was known as a guardian of mankind.  The colors have the
following meaning:

Red:  Courage
Green:  reliability, hope , growth, renewing life
Black:  death
Blue:  tranquility, calmness
We want to make sure that everyone is aware that we are NOT a
motorcycle Club (M.C.).  When it comes to our leisure time, we do  not
want to be told what to do, when or where to do it.  We have no
mandatory runs or meetings although we do have participation incentives.
We hope that you will find our activities and events fun and exciting enough
that you just might want to get involved.  If so, contact any of our
officers or email us.  Our meetings are the fourth Saturday of the month.
Please contact us for info or meeting location for the next meeting.
